MODEL H-2 ALARM VALVE VERTICAL TRIM CONSTANT PRESSURE

When a sprinkler (1) opens, the discharging water lifts the alarm valve clapper (2) and flows through the alarm prot (3) to the retard chamber (4). When the retard chamber is filled, water flows to the water motor alarm (5) and/or the optional pressure switch (6) which signals an electric alarm bell.

Pressure-activated switches can be wired for either normally open or normally closed circuit operation.

to prevent false alarms due to variable water supplies, the Viking retard chamber collects small surges of water which flow through the alarm port during pressure fluctuations.

Viking's alarm TEST an DRAINT™ valve is available to verify correct valve clapper movement when testing the water motor alarm.
